The concept behind this design initially aimed to create a straightforward shelving system. Through my experimentation with cardboard and cubes, I evolved the idea into a dynamic and practical product—an innovative shelving system with transformative capabilities. Additionally, the project draws inspiration from the iconic shapes found in the game Tetris.
This unique shelving system incorporates four hinges, strategically placed along the edges, enabling the pieces to flex and transform into various configurations using four simple cubes. The components of the system are combined with four wooden cubes measuring 12x12x12 inches, enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of the design.
By fusing the principles of functionality, fun, and adaptability, this transformational shelving system offers a versatile and engaging solution for organizing and displaying items. Its design, inspired by Tetris shapes, adds an element of playfulness to the overall aesthetic while providing practical and customizable storage options.
